Album of the Day. One record a day, for everyone at once.

An Album of the Day issue: an album cover beside its title, artist and a short review.
  1. The idea. Album of the Day gives everyone the same record each day: something familiar, something overlooked, or something you might never have chosen yourself. It asks for one thing, a listen, before you decide whether it’s for you.

  2. The design. Each issue takes its colour from the album, so the site changes every midnight while the layout stays still. Titles are set large and condensed, like a record sleeve, with a short introduction and the listening links beneath.

  3. The details. A private diary lets you mark albums listened, rate them and keep notes, without an account; signing in syncs it across devices. There’s an archive, an RSS feed and an optional daily email.
